An Investigation Into Remote Viewing


Remote viewing is the psychic ability that allows you to view people or places that you can't see with your regular five senses. This means you can't physically see or hear those things using physical senses, but you really can train your own latent psychic abilities to see those things without actually being there in person.

However, there's one distinction that needs to be made. Remote viewing is not the same as having an out of body experience. Having an out of body experience, also called 'astral travel,' occurs when you travel in spirit form to go and see an event or place.

When you practice remote viewing, you are practicing a form of psychic dowsing. You're using your psychic power to see a particular location, person, etc., within your mind's eye. That is, you are using a kind of ESP to locate and view what you're looking for.

Every person has a type of latent psychic ability that we never learned to use properly as children. When you consider that most of us use about 10% of our brain capacity, there's still the other 90% of dormant brainpower that we aren't sure how to make use of.

Imagine having the capacity and skill to be able to simply 'see' your children at a moments notice and know that they're safe even if you're not there physically with them. This can give you security and peace of mind that is simply invaluable.

Remote viewing is different than other forms of psychic ability because literally anyone can learn how to become proficient in remote viewing. In fact, studies have shown that even so-called 'non-psychics' can do remote viewing if taught properly to enter into the right kind of trancelike state. In this state, they could do remote viewing with very accurate results.

Try these steps to remote viewing on your own:

*Sit quietly in a comfortable chair and close your eyes. Make sure there are no distractions like noises, uncomfortable bodily feelings like hunger, etc. You want to be able to focus your entire attention on the exercise.

*Allow your body to release all tension and relax. When your eyes are closed, you might feel the urge to yawn. Try pressing your tongue lightly against the roof of your mouth and breathe through your nose. You'll find the urge to yawn vanishes and you'll find it much easier to control your breathing

*You should allow yourself to sink deeper and deeper into your relaxation. As you go into a light trance, you need to have a strong conviction or belief that you really are able to see people or places that you've never encountered physically.

*Start with something simple, so that you can test your abilities and show yourself that you're indeed capable of doing this kind of psychic viewing. For example, you could 'place yourself' in a standing position in front of the 'you' that is sitting relaxed in a chair. Now, look back over your shoulder at the 'relaxed' you, and see if you can see yourself sitting there. It can be a little trying it first to try to see yourself from this perspective, but patience is necessary. When you can finally see yourself from this position, it's a marvelous surprise.

*Once you've got this first remote viewing exercise down, practice doing remote viewing that's a little bit more distant. Choose a distant but very familiar location you know very well, such as a friend or family member's home. Now, take a look around this location. Are there toys on the floor that weren't there the last time you were there? Are there books on the coffee table that weren't there the last time you were there? Choose something that's out of place or different from what you saw when you were physically there. As soon as you can, call your friend or family member and ask him or her to confirm what you saw. Being told you've had accurate results reinforces your belief in yourself that you can truly do remote viewing.

As you become more practiced, you can also try another type of remote viewing exercise. Instead of viewing places or people you want to see, try seeing if you can 'view' a friend who is doing a particular motion. Have a friend or family member sit in another room so that you can't see him or her, and then have them repeat a simple movement like hand waving or twirling hair. With your remote viewing skills, see if you can see what your friend or family member is doing and then compare notes to see how accurate you are.

One positive side effect to spending time practicing remote viewing is that you may find yourself much more adept at getting into a relaxed state as you do so. The relaxed state you put yourself into when you practice remote viewing is very much like the trancelike relaxation people are put into when they are put under hypnosis. Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is a state where you are very alert and aware of what's going on around you, but you are also very relaxed. This state of extreme relaxation and alertness at the same time makes it much easier to get in touch with your subconscious mind.

Your psychic abilities are more easily reached via the sub-conscious, so the more easily you're able to sink into your relaxed trance, the more powerful your remote viewing techniques will become.
